Trastine is a wife and mother from Wilmington, NC by way of El Paso, Tx and currently lives in Metro Atlanta since 2008. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 1999 with a Bachelor of Social Work and then served as an Officer in the United States Air Force for 8 years. 

Trastine later received a Master of Social Work from the University of Denver with a focus in Mental Health and Trauma and became licensed (LMSW) in 2021. Trastine is a Social Worker by trade with 23 years of experience working with homeless, children and families, veterans, mental health, suicide prevention and substance abuse, but she has a passion for domestic violence and couples counseling.  

Trastine believes that your upbringing and past experiences affect how you show up in your current relationships.  Healing from past hurts will bring forth individuals capable of giving love and ready to receive it, especially the love for yourself.  Trastine uses various approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Brief Therapy to collaborate with you so you can be the healed person you deserve to be.
