Therapy Services
If you’ve found your way here, chances are you’re looking for a therapist who truly sees you. Maybe you’ve called around, sent emails, scrolled through directories and still haven’t found the right fit. If that sounds familiar, we want you to know: you’re in the right place.
The Mental Wellness Collective is a virtual group therapy practice based in Atlanta, proudly serving women and teen girls across Georgia. We support clients navigating a wide range of mental health challenges, and we welcome individuals of all backgrounds. While our work is rooted in creating a safe, affirming space that centers the lived experiences of Black women, women of color, and teen girls, who are too often overlooked in wellness spaces, our practice is open to all who resonate with our values and seek compassionate, culturally responsive care.
We understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating especially if it’s your first time. The idea of opening up, being vulnerable, and facing things you’ve tucked away can be overwhelming. But we want to challenge you not to let fear keep you from the healing you deserve.
This is a space where you are invited to unlearn what no longer serves you, discover new tools to navigate life’s challenges, and lean into your healing journey at your own pace. You don’t have to do it alone. Our team of compassionate, culturally responsive therapists are here to walk alongside you, offering support, guidance, and care that’s tailored to who you are and what you need.

How Therapy Works:
First things first, let’s schedule a free 15 min consultation so that we can discuss your needs. .On this call it gives you a chance to tell me the things you are seeking from therapy. Be sure to ask any questions that you may have. This call helps us to see if we are a good fit for each other.
After your consultation if we are able to meet your needs this is where the magic begins. We will schedule your initial session to begin services. You will get a text and email reminder for the appointment and you will get an email with intake forms. These forms MUST be filled out 24hrs before your session. The first session will feel like you are doing most of the talking but it helps to build our foundation.
During your first session we will discuss your needs, your level of functioning, establish goals and so much more. Your goals discussed in this session will be the leading force in our sessions and we will often refer back to them when we get stuck, off track or just need to be reminded of why we are here.
As you progress we will assess your progress periodically to ensure we are on the same page and you are moving forward. We will make updates to your goals, if needed (because life is always happening).

How long will therapy take?
There is no time limit on therapy. Everyone needs something different and we will work to make sure that your needs are met.How is therapy different than coaching?
Therapy is conducted by a licensed trained professional who is regulated by a professional licensing board. A therapist will help you see how your thoughts, and feelings impact your behavior through looking at your patterns, past traumas and current levels of functioning. Therapy is more than just goal setting it is a deep process of unlearning and relearning new ways to process life. Although there is a place for coaching it should not be used in place of therapy.Does your practice only see Black women/girls?
No. While our practice proudly specializes in providing culturally responsive care that centers the unique experiences of Black women and teen girls, we warmly welcome women and girls of all racial and ethnic backgrounds. Our clinicians are trained to offer inclusive, affirming, and high-quality mental health care to anyone who resonates with our values and approach. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, or background and are committed to upholding equitable access to care for all.
